Punjab Launches Registration for Fancy Number Plates Auction — Online Bidding Now Open

The Punjab government has officially started the registration process for the January auction of fancy vehicle number plates, enabling citizens to participate through the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) e-Auction App and web portal.
The initiative provides vehicle owners across the province a convenient way to secure special registration numbers without visiting excise offices, aligning with Punjab’s ongoing digital governance reforms.

The digital auction system—developed jointly by PITB and the Punjab Excise & Taxation Department—allows participants to register remotely and place bids on their preferred number plates until January 30.

PITB Chairman Praises Digital Transformation of the Auction Process
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted the technological improvement brought by the e-Auction system.
